Gherardo Frassa
Born in the valley of the Camuni, the valley of graffiti and iron. Then he starts traveling: Milan, London, Paris, 7 years on the road in the United States. Finally he returns to Milan where he opens the shop "Balocchi e perfumi" in which to breathe the air of novelty that distinguishes his discoveries. To know Gherardo Frassa prematurely disappeared in June 2014, suffice it to say that he defined himself as an "eventologist" and that he spent his life between art, craft, fashion and design. Exhibitions, books, works, objects, cultural tributes, research, reconstructions, commercial initiatives, has been devoted to the most varied activities always with the same nonconformity, love for the unusual (especially if it has intelligence and history behind it), maniacal attention for the particular to which he united overflowing irony and cheerful modesty. The love for graffiti, iron and detail find its maximum expression in the "disguise" that perhaps he loved more and to whom he dedicated his last years of life. The grower of tin flowers, the creator of those small sculptures made entirely of tin, painted by hand, depicting flowers of the strangest and most imaginative shapes and inspired by the original designs of the futurist Osvaldo Bot and his "Flora futurist mechanics".
