Seletti is one of the leading brands in Italian design, known and appreciated all over the world. It is known above all for its animal-shaped lamps, its historic collaboration with Pantone and its metal letters.
Irriverent, provocative and always impeccable, each Seletti product has a story to tell and is ready to bring a breeze of novelties to Italian homes - from the study to the kitchen.
The story of Seletti began in 1964 in Cicognara, near Mantua. Romano Seletti is the first company to launch a business that aims to sell household items such as tablecloths, dishes, mugs and glasses, low-cost products in the East, between China and Thailand, in Italian cities. But it was with his son Stefano, who took over the reins of the company in 1987, that the Seletti brand was able to relaunch and compete with the other important Italian companies first, then international.
Common objects that become out of the ordinary: this seems to be Seletti's mission. Seletti's catalogue includes apparently banal products, such as a cup or lamp, which are transformed into icons of everyday life thanks to their irreverent approach and the knowledge of design.
For the collection of items in the Esselunga chain, for example, Seletti creates Estetico Quotidiano, a collection that offers ceramic objects that would not normally be, such as the glassware made of crumpled plastic or paper trays for pastries.
Experimentation with new and different materials, new combinations and the continuous variation of the point of view on the traditional house become the distinctive traits of Seletti products. Imperfection is integrated into the object: an incomplete finish or unpainted shelf becomes a proof of character. Innovation and surprise are the company's guidelines, which in any case shows that it never renounces the professionalism and high quality of its production.
Born in 1988 from the union of Stefano and Maria Seletti, Vittorio Boni and Studio Badini, Selab Design is Seletti's creative laboratory. It is well known that teamwork leads to great results: with Selab, dozens of products have been created that have made Seletti's brand reputation, such as neon letters and Metalvetica.
It is well known that Helvetica is considered the most important font of our time, so why not give it all the prominence it deserves? This must be the idea that guided Selab Design when it launched a collection of metal letters for Seletti that are almost a metre high. Whether you want to compose a word, a phrase or to expose a single letter as a painting, Metalvetica letters are the perfect and striking solution, able to catalyse the attention of anyone entering the room in which they are displayed. Distinguished by an industrial aspect and a handcrafted care, these letters are real pieces of furniture and know how to interpret the concept of home decor in a contemporary key. Each letter is welded by hand. The Metalvetica line also includes the single digits from 0 to 9, which can be combined with each other to dial any number you want.
Seletti lamps are always a certainty, both when it comes to aesthetics and when it comes to the quality and durability of the product. The Seletti catalogue section dedicated to lamps presents different styles and approaches, in order to satisfy the needs of the individual client on the one hand and give free rein to the designer's creativity on the other. Whatever the room needs lighting, the Seletti collection of objects will always find the perfect solution to make it shine.
How can we reinvent a classic yet essential object of every room like the lamp? One solution could be to disguise the bulb with an elaborate lamp shade, another to lay it bare and even to put it to the viewer: this is the idea that gave rise to the most talked and known lamp in the Seletti catalogue. The Monkey Lamp, in all its versions, bears the signature of designer Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba, who says of this very particular object:"I wanted to imagine that these monkeys have been mingled in the house, have dismantled some chandeliers attracted by light and want to try to steal some bulbs".
Made of resin and hand-finished, the lamp is available in Monkey Seated Table Lamp, Monkey Standing Table Lamp, Monkey Wall Lamp, Monkey Lamp with Suspended Rope, Monkey Outdoor Black Lamp. This lamp is an object that will attract visitors' questions and curious people's eyes to itself, while it will continue to do what a lamp does best: illuminate the house and make it more welcoming.

Do you have the classic flush lights, known as string lights or fairy lights? Seletti's are among the favourites of all time: the black or white silicone wire is 14.3 metres long and has 10 globular LED lights. Whether you want to hang them in a row or in a cluster, outside to illuminate the veranda, balcony or garden or inside to give a touch more to the living room or bedroom, the Lights Seletti Bella Vista will prove the perfect ally whenever you need atmosphere. The decorative value of these lights cannot be denied, but their efficiency is no less important: LED bulbs are a low-consumption solution, but they always guarantee a constant and high quality light source.
Fourteen bulbs in one chandelier? It's Maman Led by Seletti, a truly unique solution when it comes to ceiling lamps. It is in fact possible to manage the position of each individual bulb thanks to the comfortable wire that each one is equipped with, allowing it to fluctuate independently from the others from the position that will be assigned to it. This makes the Maman chandelier highly customizable, depending on the needs of the space, such as room width or ceiling height, but also on the aesthetic impact you want to achieve.
Fourteen bulbs should not be frightening: the LED technology they are equipped with lowers energy consumption while maintaining high light quality, making this chandelier perfect for both home interiors and accommodation facilities, such as restaurants, bars or hotels, not to mention offices and workplaces.
What does the Multilamp floor lamp remind you of? Perhaps the spotlight of a stage? Perhaps the lights that illuminate a rugby field or catwalk during a parade? What inspired the designer Emanuele Magini, who designed this unusual lamp for Seletti? Apparently, the willingness to bring the atmosphere of a stadium during a football match to your home, when you watch the game with your friends while sitting comfortably on your sofa. And, without a doubt, Multilamp's design fully satisfies this vision: its 182 cm height makes it perfect for illuminating the entire living room and accompanying all the convivial moments.
Multilamp has a height of 182 cm,
Seletti's Egg of Columbus lamp collection is truly innovative, as it is an ecological lamp. Includes an Egg of Columbus table lamp, Egg of Columbus pendant lamp 26.50 cm diameter, Egg of Columbus pendant lamp 35 cm diameter, Egg of Columbus pendant lamp 22.50 cm diameter. The collection is signed by designer Valentina Carretta, who wanted to create a lighting line that used a material of little value such as recycled paper. With this material used as a coating, he has created a series of lampshades that reproduce the raw appearance of the material and, at the same time, extremely familiar with egg packs. The aesthetic effect of using a material such as recycled paper contrasts with the shape of the lampshade itself, which is very romantic and available in four different colours: green, pink, light blue and anthracite. The cable is fabric-covered.
Neon Art and Neon Shades - Neon Selects If there is a fashion for domestic interiors that is being strengthened in recent years and does not seem, fortunately, willing to leave us, it is that of neon lights used as a decorative element in every room of the house, from the kitchen to the entrance, from the living room to the bedroom. Seletti demonstrates his farsightedness with the decision to create the line of neon signs and lights called Neon Art. The collection includes Neon Art Numbers and Neon Art Letters, which offer all the numerals and letters of the alphabet in this captivating decorative version. Obviously, each element can be combined with many others to create words, phrases or combinations of numbers. Once the desired message has been written, it is possible to connect all the neon lamps to the appropriate transformer. Seletti offers three different types of transformers: a 3-letter transformer, a 7 to 9 letter transformer, a 3 to 14 letter transformer. But don't worry: if you want to write an even longer text, just connect two or more transformers together.
Seletti Neon Art lamps can only be used indoors, as they are not equipped with specific protection against water infiltration, which could certainly occur if they were outside. If your home needs a bit of colour and that atmosphere as an English or American restaurant, we recommend Shades, the line that reproposes the colours of white, red and blue in both the written word and the colour used for lighting.
The Estetico Quotidiano line of the Seletti brand has been specially created for the collection of points in the catalogue of the well-known supermarket chain Esselunga. The success was immediate: the ironic vein with which Seletti was able to interpret very simple objects that remind any family of the afternoons spent in festivities, outdoor lunches on holiday or improvised birthday parties.
The brand has reproduced the shapes and appearance of disposable containers for food and drink, such as glasses, saucers and trays, completely changing the material: goodbye plastic and aluminium, welcome durable white porcelain, perfect for use in microwave and clean in dishwasher. The Daily Aesthetic Collection includes 6 bottom dishes, 6 fruit or dessert dishes, 6 flat dishes, 6 bottom dishes for salad. Each dish has an excellent workmanship and strength, as well as an attractive appearance, and is made according to eco-sustainable procedures, all the opposite of the harmful disposable plastic plates that it imitates - only in appearance, fortunately.
The Seletti Hybrid collection of Seletti dishes bears the signature of the eccentric and visionary CTRLZAK Art & Design Studio, formed by Thanos Zakopoulos and Katia Meneghini. This line seems to turn a blind eye to the origins of the Seletti brand, when it was a family business that was concerned with the import of dishes made in the Orient into Italian domestic markets.
However, it interprets this starting point in the light of the irreverence and innovation that has distinguished Seletti since the late 1980s. Each piece in the collection is divided into two halves, one in ceramic made according to Western fashion and the other in ceramics made according to Oriental tradition. The result? A collection at the same time eccentric and coherent, perfect to amaze guests when it is used to serve on the table.
The Industry Collection furniture line has been created for the Seletti da Studio Job brand, the renowned design studio formed by the Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel duo. The complements of this line are chairs, armchairs and tables, designed for outdoor use, such as the terrace or garden, but able to amaze even when used indoors. All the accessories are made of die-cast aluminium, perforated and carefully worked to recall the decorations that have made the fortune of the Liberty style. Looking more carefully, it is possible to identify all the smallest details that contribute to create the decorative motif, which becomes a real pop mosaic: the symbol of peace, the crown, the cup of coffee, the butterfly and, unexpectedly, even some pretzels.
