Boucquillon - Maaoui
Michel Boucquillon was born in Belgium in 1962. In 1988 he won the competition for the European Parliament House in Brussels, thus beginning his career as an architect and designer. In 2000 he opened a laboratory dedicated to industrial design and experimental architecture in Lucca, within the "Casa Bocquillon": a place where he could live and work, but also meditate and devote himself to research. Michel currently collaborates with some of the best known companies in the field of design, including: Alessi, Artemide, Antoniolupi, Serralunga, Martinelliluce. His works are exhibited in several museums and recognized with the most important international awards, including the most recent: Compasso d'Oro Honorable Mention 2011, Good Design Award 2008, Design Plus 2006. Donia Maaoui, wife of Michel and anch he is an architect in the same year, in some projects with Alessi and Martinelliluce, even though his main activity is bronze fusion sculpture and painting.
