Designing products that are clear and self-explanatory. That’s the aspiration Ilja Huber pursues. After training as a tool-maker, Huber did an M.A. in product and experimental design at the University of Fine Arts (HFBK) in Hamburg. Having gained professional experience at the Mykilos and kaschkasch design studios in Berlin and Cologne respectively, he created a number of his own projects and international tradeshow exhibitions, receiving his first award in the Pure Talents Contest 2019. Ilja Huber sees the origins of his approach to design in handcrafting and industrial manufacturing.
