Neri&Hu
Founded in 2004 by members Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, Neri & Hu Design and Research Office is an interdisciplinary architectural design practice based in Shanghai, China with an additional office in London, United Kingdom. The works that Neri & Hu provide vary internationally from architecture, interiors, master planning, graphics to product design services. Currently working on projects in many countries, Neri & Hu is made up of multi-cultural staff who speak more than 30 different languages. The diversity of the team reinforces a fundamental vision for practice: to respond to a global vision that incorporates overlapping design disciplines for a new paradigm in architecture. Neri & Hu firmly believes in research as a design tool, as each project brings its unique set of contextual problems. Probing the specificities of the program, site, function, and history is essential for creating design work. Based on research, Neri & Hu wants to anchor his work on the dynamic interaction of experience, detail, material, form and light, rather than conforming to a stereotypical style. The ultimate meaning behind every project comes from how the constructed forms create meaning through their physical representations. Neri & Hu has been widely reported by the press around the world, including Architectural Review, Wallpaper *, Architectural Record, FRAME, MARK, Living, area, Diseño Interior, Interior Design, ID, Travel + Leisure, MARU, Perspective Magazine, Elle Decor Italia, ELLE Deco China, Vogue China, Red Dot Year Book, Dezeen.com, Archidaily.com and countless other printed and online media, as well as television programs.
